The Oracle's Prophecy

With sceptic eyes ablaze
The man, he walks the stage
The oracle awaits
Regaling of his fate.

How can a man be free
If he is acting scenes
Pulled out from the script?
Rewriting of his life.

Infallible and wise, Prophetic wisdom lies
Within her, the healer (or just a deceiver?)
Her shadow piercing gaze intoxicates my veins
With no chance to barter, my free will: a martyr.

Rise noble son, you'll become the saviour of all man
It's destiny, fullfil your prophecy
Rise above your infamy where the sky and earth unite
It's time
Head up high, arms out wide
Feel the earth, embrace the sky
Unclench a fist that holds the sorrow tight.

New ink on tattered page
This man exits the stage
The oracle has seen
And this man now believes.

Of course a man in free
When re-enacting scenes
If spoken from the mouth
Of a true diety.
