A concept once for granted, now obsolete
It was once held in the highest pristine
Regarded as the ultimate infalliable truth.

Now it is just a blemish from the past
In salons and studies your name was hailed
As the champion of all thought
(Now) No one would be caught dead with you in thier presence
You are dead wrong down to your essence
How could someone believe in you?

Never before has something so bright been spoken.

No one could speak enough on your behalf
No one spoke against you that would have been unwise
A lesser truth has left the graves fresh
And truth like yours is something that could
Not be denied, to deny you, one had to be insane
Now it is time to forget and put you in the palace of shame
We can't let it be known that you
Were the highest of ideas in our sordid past.
