Falling Stars

The streets were called her home
She lived there all alone
Her bread was nearly gone.

Yet, humble was her heart
’Twas made of gold and warmth
One fateful day, she needed to depart.

And the stars were bright
On this winter night
Like one hundred thousand lanterns
Guiding lights above.
